Project Overview
Bastide Saint-Didier already had a beautiful real-world product: a restored 18th-century farmhouse, elegant rooms, peaceful gardens, a large saltwater pool, and a relaxed adults-only atmosphere in the heart of Provence.
The previous website was already built with WordPress and used a commercial hotel theme. While that gave the owners a functional starting point, the website still had a templated look and was not as efficient, polished, or consistent as the property itself.
Because the site had grown as a DIY setup over time, it also had several common issues: inconsistent page structure, uneven titles and descriptions, broken links, and content that was harder to manage and improve properly.
I redesigned and rebuilt the website with a custom WordPress theme, mobile-first layouts, stronger visual direction, cleaner content structure, TheBookingButton integration, full Google Analytics 4 tracking, and performance-focused development.
The result is a faster, more refined, and easier-to-use website that better reflects the quality of the property and gives the owners a stronger foundation for direct bookings, marketing, SEO, and long-term improvements.
