After Davos in Switzerland our next destination was Soelden, this time a ski resort in Austria. We decided to take the shortest, slowest and most beautiful path, straight through the mountains, going through the Fluela Pass.
Flüela Pass (elevation 2383 m) is a high mountain pass in the Swiss Alps in the canton of Graubünden. The pass road connects Davos and Susch in the lower Engadin valley.
Words cannot even begin to describe the feelings that you have while driving through such magnificent sceneries. These roads reminded me of the early Need for Speed games where you would have some Swiss tracks to ride on. If you ever have a chance to drive on this road – plan ahead and leave more time for it. We did the first 60 km in almost 2 hours, and that’s with just 3 stops 5 minutes each. We would have wanted to stop more often, but it is difficult with a small baby in the car.
