About 2 weeks ago I finally visited the Dendrarium Park (Chisinau, Moldova) for the first time in my life :)

Thankfully I had two beautiful girls with me, Alina and Snejana, and my camera of course, so here’s the result of our quick session.

And as always, I used the Nikon D5000 with f/1.4G AF-S Nikkor Lens, no filters.

After last week’s offline with Vlad Filat, prime-minister of Moldova, today I participated at a more casual and informal offline with Dan Negru, a romanian TV presenter. Later we were joined by Cosmin Guşă (last photo).

Today I had the opportunity to participate at an offline with Vlad Filat, prime-minister of Moldova.

Unfortunately I didn’t get the chance to take good photos (the place was crowded), but I caught him during an interview after the event.
Decided to share them with you :)

This is a quickly captured photo of Olia Tira, the artist that will represent Republic of Moldova at Eurovision Song Contest Oslo 2010, during an informal offline meeting.

Two versions: color and black&white.

In January 2010 I had the opportunity to take a quick 7-days vacation.
Destination: Hurghada, Egypt.
Hotel: Imperial Shams Abu Soma Resort 5* Hotel (Safaga).

I have already posted some HDR Photos of Imperial Shams Hotel, now it is time to post photos from the trip itself.

And as you cannot visit Egypt and not see the Pyramids, we had an excursion to Giza (Cairo) and took some photos of the Great Pyramid of Giza (of Kheops/Cheops), Pyramid of Khafre, The Great Sphinx, Mastabas, etc. If only the locals didn’t bother us as much as they did, the trip would have been MUCH more enjoyable.

Cairo itself is a very chaotic place, traffic is infernal! Do I want to visit it again? No, that’s for sure.

Here is a photo of a friend that I took under rather low light, with the AF-S Nikkor 50mm F1.4G lens. The bokeh is acceptable :)

During the past few days I was thinking about getting myself a portrait-type lens for my Nikon D5000 camera. After some research, the choice fell on AF-S NIKKOR 50mm f/1.4G, as other good portrait lens are out of my budget limit. After getting it I went...

A couple of days ago I had a small classmates reunion at which I was the only one taking shots with a DSLR (Nikon D5000), so people had some expectations for my photos :) Everything seemed fine, but then I got home and started checking / editing the...

Now, I should point out that I have no ‘professional’ photography experience. None. I had for a few years a simple Olympus mju 410 point-and-shoot camera which I bought many years ago, probably in 2003. After 6 *gasp* years of taking photos...
